      Hi There,

Some countries already have money which is waterproof and wipe clean and therefore will last a very long time like coins. They can also be sprayed with disinfectant which cuts down on spread of disease. Australia, Brunei, Papua New Guinea, Romaina, New Zealand and Vietnam all use a polymer in their bank notes.

Like Angela said, there already is! The great thing about the plastic money Angela mentioned is that it’s very difficult to rip, so it lasts longer. Fireproof money might be slightly more difficult, unless we move towards a virtual currency like bitcoins, which won’t be affected by fire but will be more at risk of fraud.
