As a vaguely ginger person myself, I hope not!

Ginger hair is a recessive trait, so it is possible that the worldwide population of gingers will decrease, but the gene won’t just disappear. This means that there will still be gingers around beyond 2050 🙂

      Hi TheMastersED
I hope not, ginger hair is lovely! It is a recessive gene, as Sarah has pointed out, which means that if you inherit a ginger hair gene and a black hair gene from your parents it is likely your hair will be black, but you will still have that gene and if you pass it on to your child and they have a child with a person who also has a recessive ginger gene then there is theoretically a one in four chance that a ginger child will result.
So we will still have gingers in 2050.

I hope not too, imagine if everyone had brown, mousy hair? Wouldn’t it be boring?
