You probably can’t go wrong with ‘Science’ (whether you do a combined course or separate Chemistry, Physics Biology) and Maths… beyond that, it doesn’t matter, choose whatever you like doing.

      Hi there
I would advise science either individual subjects or combined, and definitely Maths and English. But don’t give up if you don’t get them the first time you sit them…I know plenty of scientists who had to do resits to get to where they are now!

Science, maths and English are the three (or more) GCSEs that will stand you in good stead for any job. If you want to become a scientist I really advise you do triple science if your school offers it, but if it doesn’t then do double science.

As for other GCSEs, languages are always good to have , and D&T or geography GCSEs are also science related. But ultimately it’s your choice -you’re the one who’s going to have to study them.
