      Hi Amber Deschamps

      Outside of science I like interior decorating, going to the theatre, ballet and opera, and spending time with my husband and dog Harry – his picture is on my biography page. My favourite trip out is to the seaside which is only 20 minutes from where we live and of course is a great place for getting a fix of my favourite food – ice cream

      I am passionate about travelling and have visited all continents except Australia this year. I really liked visiting the Smithsonian museums in Washington DC in USA, particularly the native American museum. If you get the chance to visit the Smithsonian museums they really are excellent and really interactive.

      Finally, I am also passionate about the Great British Bake Off – never miss an episode!!

      Sport! I’m really into triathlon (which is a swim-bike-run competition) and finished my first half-ironman this year – it took over 5 and a half hours and it was super difficult but totally worth it! Plus I share a horse so I go for hacks and do cross-country or show-jumping in the summer.

      I’m also a massive fan of sci-fi/fantasy and get really into TV series – at the moment I’m a bit obsessed with Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D (mainly because they have an awesome lady scientist character). Plus, like Angela, I do love the bake-off, although my baking is nowhere near as spectacular 🙁

      I like photography, especially at airshows and birds. I am really passionate about Aldershot Town FC. I also enjoy reading and drawing, but at the moment most of my energy and passion is going into looking after my twin duaghters who are 2 and take up nearly all my time.
