      Hi Alfie_V
I really don’t know how much about this topic except that the Government did produce a budget from 2011/12 to 2014/15 which specifies how much funding will be given by Government to each of the main research bodies in those years. There has to be a general election next year, so I think that until we know the result of that election, no further reports on funding will be produced – so whether there will be more funding is unknown at present.

      Hi Alfie,

I’m not sure – I know there has been a budget set aside from scientific research already, and at the moment it doesn’t look likely that it will increase. If the economy continues to recover then perhaps more funding could be allocated
