      Hi Flori,

I just answered a similar question so still have the answer in my head! I had a look around and found out that if all the ice melted, the sea level would rise by about 70m – not enough to cover the entire world. At the moment the sea level is rising by about 3mm per year, but this is faster than it has been in the past. And the rate at which the climate is changing is why climate change is such a big issue nowadays – it’s faster than ever.

no there is a lot of the world above 70m so at the moment we wont get our feet wet!

But it will get a lot more crowded Angela, as we all squeeze into the space that’s left Angela.
On a more serious note, although a lot of the world is above 70m, a lot of the the cities and places where we grow our food is below this height, so it’ll get pretty uncomfortable if the ice caps do melt.
