      I guess I have heard about people making up results but I have never seen it myself. I would call that misuse.

      Not personally, but certain scientific discoveries can be dangerous in the wrong hands – just look at the atomic bomb. Science can also be misused by people fudging results to suit them – like climate change deniers – which can also have some very negative effects.
